Drawing men and women. Yin Yang, rule of opposites is to be followed. Example if a man is hard, a woman is soft. this is always true conceptually. Law of averages applies. Psychologist Carl Jung real people have male and female psyches.
How to age a man and a woman. The physical body has an expiry date. When it reaches it's peak growth, it begins to deteriorate. Muscle disappears, skin no longer bounce back into place and begins to be pulled down by gravity.
Choosing the sphere as the base form for the human head, is based on it's precise relationship to the actual skull.
Understanding the nature of the human manikin head is essential to design and manufacturing. these drawings are exercise, that I designed for my " essential drawing skills" that I teach at George Brown College in Toronto. They are part of a 3 year diploma in design and communications.
